ALMOST NOT HERE ANYMORE

Anno: 2002

Gruppo: CARL KLANG

One day I met this fine old Patriot
While down at the county jail
Who would not allow a friend of his
To show and post his bail
And when I asked him "Watcha in here for?"
His eyes starred straight through me
And then he said, "Young man
I'm in here for the sake of Liberty,"
He said "It starts the day you enter this
Old world of scoff and scorn
With a state approved certificate
To prove that you was born
Somehow the state believes without it
That we might all just disappear
And if there's one thing true
About a tyrants rule
It's still his biggest fear

And me I'm almost not here anymore
I've dropped out through lost liberties trap door
I've rescinded all those papers
After I learned what they was for
And me I'm almost not here anymore

He said, "I found myself
Inside this cell
A week or so ago,"
When a law enforcement officer
He said he kidnapped him off the road
"When he asked to see my license
And my vehicle registration
And some proof I had insurance"
That's when he thought he'd have some fun
And so he told that county officer
"I don't mean to ridicule
But you should be smart enough to know
This ain't no vehicle
'Cause when your mode of transportation
Ain't for commercial purposes
You don't need no registration
Or insurance or licenses"

You see I'm almost not here anymore
I've dropped out through lost liberties trap door
I've rescinded all those contracts
After I learned what they was for
And me I'm almost not here anymore

Just 'cause I used to be 543-46-6673
Don't mean the truth you see
Can't set me free
To be a Son of Liberty

You see I'm almost not here anymore
I've dropped out through lost liberties trap door
I've rescinded all those numbers
After I learned what they was for
And me I'm almost not here anymore

It aint fiction it's a fact
And I ain't never comin' back
Until my Congressman's
Behind these prison doors...
